Prayer: Hope

God, it feels challenging to experience you and the hope that you offer in your word. At times, it is easier to find myself in my head, low of spirit, and despairing over the way that life is going. I want to agree with your promise of hope that for those who put trust in you, they will not be disappointed. I long to experience the peace and joy of the presence of your spirit welling up in me to the point where hope overflows.

I choose to hold onto you and the hope that you offer. It is like an anchor for the soul that can hold me secure and firm in any circumstance, both in the face of what is to come in this life, and the one to come in eternity. Help me to remain confident in you that I will see your goodness in the land of the living as I choose to wait for you and take heart in your promises for me.
