Prayer: Christmas

Jesus would you meet me in my anxiety around the Christmas Season. There are so many unknowns to consider and much that feels out of control. I want to trust you and I ask you to help me to recognize your peaceful presence in this season.

Jesus would you meet me in my grieving and experiences of loss that are felt more deeply in the Christmas season. I am aware of my loss. Grief often hits me in unpredictable ways.

Jesus would you meet me in my busyness and rushing around in the holiday season. Because my mind, schedule, and to-do list is so full I miss you in the moments of my day. Help me to pause and rest in you so that I may see you in each day that you have given me.

Jesus I want to encounter you in my daily living. If anything holds me back or causes me to feel that I cannot approach you, would you make me aware of it and give me courage to deal with it with you. I want to encounter you, to know you, and to embrace your love.
